My Cat Is Emo

I have come to the conclusion that Charlie is emo. Don't believe me? Let me list the facts.

  • He's extremely moody. He's got more mood swings than a teenage girl.
  • He is constantly rolling his eyes at people.
  • He has some weird eating disorder. He's anorexic, I'm almost positive of it.
  • He's very mysterious.

Don't get me wrong, Charlie is absolutely awesome, but living with an emo cat can be trying at times. When I got outside, I never know if he'll be in his "I-love-my-Mommy-hug-me!" mood or his "I'm-just-going-to-ignore-you-leave-me-alone" mood. One minute he'll be wrapping himself around my legs, purring and head butting me, and the next he'll be yowling at me while kicking me with his hind legs. But of course, I love my Charlie, no matter which of the 182 moods he's in.

The Other Kitties In The Neighborhood- Part 2

More kitties! We'll start out with the funniest of kitties(that live across the street). You know him, you love him, you want some more of him! I give you....

TOMMY!! Tommy is the other kitten we got with Sammy long, long ago. He's a tad insane. He was a good kitty till Ringo came along, and then he started peeing on everything. So they threw him outside where he now beats up the other cats(even though he's a pretty small cat). He's attacked my grandma's hand before and made her have to go to the doctor because of it. He's really sweet...most of the time.

This is Momma Kitty & Mindy. Mindy used to be a super skinny kitten, but as you can see, she's very very very fat now. She's super soft, and she loves for her belly to be rubbed. Momma Kitty was a stray cat that happened upon grandma's barn, her belly full of mini-kitties! She had her babies, we gave them to good homes, and Momma Kitty has been with us ever since. She's very playful. She loves to pounce on your feet when you're walking by.

This is Ringo! Ringo is Cleo's dad. He's a gangsta kitty through and through. He is often getting into fights over female cats, and he usually comes home very beat up. I would say that it's safe to say he's a bad fighter. He's SUPER sweet. He loves to head butt your face when you bend down to talk to him, and he loves it when you scratch behind his ears. He has the biggest head I've ever seen on a cat. Big...and scabbed.

This is Mr. Kitty Diddy Itty Bitty Witty(etc...)!He's another stray cat that came from Grandma's neighbor's house. He is sooo sickening sweet. He loves to be held by anyone. He knows no strangers. He got his unusual name from me, my brothers, and our grandma. I wanted to name him Mr. Kitty, while my youngest brother wanted to name him Diddy. We combined the name, added a few dozen other rhyming words, and voilĂ ! A cool cat with an even cooler name.

And that's all the cats in the Kitty Clan! Of course, there are about 20 something over cats that we don't count as pets(such as Ugly, Big Black Cat, & Other Momma Cat). Maybe I'll get pictures of them, maybe I won't. Who knows?

The Other Kitties In The Neighborhood- Part 1

When you love cats as much as me & my family do, of course you can't have just one! We actually have 5 other kitties, plus a few across the street that belong to my grandma, PLUS about 20 something wild cats at my grandma's neighbor's house. So, without further ado, I present the rest of the Kitty Clan!

This is Rosie! Rosie is our oldest cat. We got her when I was but a tiny child(probably about 5 or 6). She's moved all over the place with us and she's very sickening sweet to people. She loves her Mommy the best(her mommy being my mommy), and she loves to hide her nose in the crook of your arm when you hold her. She doesn't take any lip from any dog. She goes crazy on them if they so much as look at her funny(we had a dog who got scars on his nose after Rosie got done with him). She also doesn't like stray cats. If any weird cats come on the deck to eat, Rosie chases them off. She's gotten crazier in her old age, I believe. She used to be very sweet to our other cats, but now when she comes in the house(which is a very rare event), she hisses and growls at the inside cats if they get too close.

This is Casey! Casey was our first really fuzzy cat and she was ADORABLE when she was a kitten! We got her at a yard sale a long time ago. Me & my mom were walking around looking at stuff, and this cute-and-fuzzy ball of hair kept following me around while I was carrying my new Easy Bake oven. She was so cute, that we decided to get her. She was really tiny, even for a kitten. So tiny, that she could sleep on one corner of a mousepad! She has a very funny attitude towards people and cats. She rubs up against any part of you she can, and you can pet her back and head, but if you roll her over and pet her stomach, she tries to bite you. She is mean to all the other cats except Rosie. We have to feed all 4 outside cats with separate bowls because Casey won't share with anyone. Even if she's not hungry, she'll beat Charlie back away from the food just so he can't get any. She's sweet, but she has major attitude problems.

Say hello to Cleo! We got Cleo and her sister, Patty(who, unfortunately, disappeared without a trace. She was a sickly cat.) from my grandma. She may be yawning in this picture, but she really does have a big mouth! She is always meowing REALLY loud. As soon as she sees me, she starts it up. She's kind of weird because she acts all lovey-dovey to you, but when you pick her up, she gets really stiff and starts trying to get back down. She has very pretty eyes and markings. Her hair reminds lots of people of rabbit hair. Her dad Ringo, looks a lot like her.

This is Sammy! Sammy is my special little boy. He was my first baby and I love him to death! We got Sammy from my grandma. She had been trying to get rid of another kitten(named Tommy. Don't worry, he'll be in this too.), but when she was taking Tommy back home, she ended up coming home with 2 kittens! Sammy was VERY mean to my grandma when he was a kitten. He would bite and scratch up her hand something awful when she picked him up. We actually named him after my brother Sam, who at the time was quite a mean child(terrible two's). When I came over, I would hold both of the kittens in my lap and me and Sammy would play. My grandma got Sammy neutered, and I eventually took him home with me. After he was neutered, his meow became nothing more than a mere squeak, sometimes nothing at all coming out of his mouth when he "meowed". People always think he is a she, because of his small meow and long pretty hair. My family say he is retarded, and sometimes I have to agree. He isn't a very smart cat. He acts like a big baby, but I still love him just the same.

This is Marty! This is probably the best picture of Marty that you will ever get because it describes him so very well. My mom found Marty on the side of the road, goopy eyed, super skinny, and his ears were huge. She brought him home and he's been here ever since. Marty LOVES to hide. He loves to get under my dresser, in the closet, under the bed, and he loves getting into boxes. No matter what type of box, he will at least TRY to get inside of it! From shoe boxes to cereal boxes to flat pizza boxes, he gets in and loves them all! He also loves marshmallows, which is how he got his name. He was batting around and eating his first marshmallow when my mom and I started throwing out names. "Marshmallow!" "Martian!" "Marty!" Another thing that he can't live without is his milk rings. He loves them to DEATH. He loves to play fetch with them. I throw it, he runs after it, trots back with the ring dangling from his mouth, drops it at my feet, and starts meowing and purring begging me to throw it again. He can be super sickening sweet too. He loves to cuddle(on his own time, of course) with Jesse. He really is a big marshmallow.

And there you have it! That's the other 5 kitties at the D. Household. In the next blog, I'll tell about the cats that live across the street, who are also very funny and cute.

Tuesday, June 30, 2009

I was looking through these blogs and I completely forgot to mention when Charlie's birthday is! The closest date I can find is June 17th, '08. I know he wasn't born on that day, but that's the earliest day I took pictures of him, and he was quite little(only about 3 weeks).

So next time it's June 17th, go pick up a little something-something for Charlay. You know what he likes. ;]
